Planning is well underway for the annual Kispiox Music Festival but there will be at least one thing that will be done differently this year.
Festival President Brad Redekopp says there will be increased security and they will be cracking down on excessive drinking.
“It seems as if under age drinking and excessive use of alcohol has gotten worse in the last couple of years,” he says. “It is affected those who bring their kids, we want to have a family friendly festival.”
He adds they are also talking with police about putting up a road block and have an increase in their presence as well.
Other events in the area, such as the rodeo will also be enforcing similar rules this summer.
