Smithers council has released their four year vision.
Mayor Taylor Bachrach says the town has lofty goals for new infrastructure projects and initiatives.
He says one project councillors would like to see get done is a new arts centre.
“Council will prioritize building a new cultural centre in Smithers, which we hope will be the home of the new Smithers library as well as other arts, culture and community functions,” he says.
The town will also be focusing on expanding the airport, creating a small business task force and wants to implement an asset management plan to ensure future infrastructure needs are addressed.
