It’s day two of the most recent Air Quality Advisory for a large portion of Northern BC.
The announcement was made yesterday by Northern Health and the Ministry of Environment due to a higher than normal amount of fine particulate matter in the air.
Prince George, Houston, Smithers and, Vanderhoof are the affected communities.
Exposure is mostly a concern for babies, seniors and those with lung or heart disease.
Anyone with chronic health issues should avoid strenuous activity.
If you experience symptoms of coughing, wheezing or irritation with your eyes or throat, you’re encouraged to see your health care provider.
