ACT Committee planning Mothers’ Day walk/run

The ACT committee, which promotes healthy living in Houston, is planning a mother’s day run.
One of the organizers, Sue Jones says they are giving people a heads-up so they can start training.
“So a 5 km walk, if you are starting from nothing then work slowly. You’ve got four weeks or so to get trained up,” she says. “The goal is to do it injury free so do as much as you can do. Everything is a success out there.”
It will be a 5 or 10 km run or walk.
The event is free but donations will be accepted for the Northern Society for Domesetic Peace.
Last year about 65 people came out and Jones is hoping for more this year.
