6.2 magnitude earthquake hits North Coast

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake shook the North Coast this morning.
At approximately 7 am Pacific time the earthquake hit near the southern tip of Graham Island, about 280 kms south of Prince Rupert.
Seismologist John Cassidy says it was felt as far East as Kitimat and Terrace, and we will be aftershocks will continue for a few days.
“We have been seeing hundreds of aftershocks and they’re continuing, even right now we’re seeing aftershocks magnitude 2 and 3 and 4 aftershocks. That’s been going on since the earthquake,” he says
Cassidy also says there is no tsunami warning, nor have there been any damages reported.
