Starting May 1st, grocery shopping will not only be rewarding for your stomach, but possibly for your passport as well.
Smithers Safeway is raising both money and awareness for the Canadian Breast Cancer Society until May 17th. With every visit, you’ll will be able to make a $2 donation and receive 5 air miles and a ballot.
That ballot will be entered into a draw, giving shoppers a chance to win a 100,000 air miles.
Smithers Safeway Manager Floyd Krishan knows that covers a lot of travelling expenses, saying “you’ll have a lot of friends who want to take vacations with you because 100,000 air miles gets you a lot of places over and over and over again.”
As well as awareness, Safeway is also aiming to suprass last years total funds raised of $10,000.
Donations will be accepted until May 17th. The draw for the 100,000 air miles will be on May 21.
