Toddlers entering school in September will have an opportunity to mingle with future classmates at the Annual Kindergarten Health Fair.
The clinic begins Wednesday, May 6th and allows parents to ask professionals about their children’s health, and have them screened and immunized.
Public Health Nurse Taryn Opel says that Public Health wants to help new students make a seamless transition into kindergarten, saying “checking in before they go and helping parents who might have questions or have concern to make sure they have that resources and support that can help them and their children succeed.”
The fair begins on Wednesday and will run all day Thursday, May 7th, and in the morning of Friday, May 8th.
The appointments will take place at the Smithers Public Health Unit. To get set you, call 250-847-6400.
