Today, drinking your morning coffee will benefit more people than just yourself.
It’s McHappy day and a dollar from every McDonald’s coffee, egg McMuffin, Big Mac, and Happy Meal will support sick children and their families.
50 cents from each local donation will help the Bulkley Valley Children’s Development Centre renovate their new facility, which executive director Kerri Bassett says would help plenty of families.
“We’ll be supporting all of our services in the community where children and their families could. get information about childhood development and access our programming in one location,” she says.
So to help out local families, Smithers McDonald’s Manager Gina Heidrich has a message for hungry residents
“Buck up and get [your] Big Macs!”
While half the donations are staying locally the other 50 cents of each donation will go to Vancouver’s Ronald McDonald House.
