School District 91 will have a familiar face in the board office come September.
Lakes District Secondary School Principal Mike Skinner has accepted the Director of Instruction roll for the Nachako Lakes School District next year.
Principal Skinner has been apart of the Burns Lake area since 1993 and has been also been a teacher, school counselor, and vice principal in that time, and seemed like the logical fit for the position.
“That experience, the knowledge of what’s going into the position and what’s required, I think that’s a big asset of understanding the community both from the students and parents, and the greater community,” he says.
Skinner is taking over for Assistant Superintendent Mr. Rick Pooley, who is set to retire after this school year.
