Midsummer Festival Rewarding Volunteers

The Mid-summer festival is looking for volunteers for the event, and even has an added incentive for those willing to help out.

The 32nd annual event will reward volunteers with free day passes for helping. Those who dedicate more time can even attend the whole weekend and eat for free.

Co-coordinators Greg Vinnish says their are other reasons than material goods to get involved.

of course the feel good part of it, giving back to the community.

Last year, the event had over 300 volunteers and Vinnish says every little bit helps.

“It wouldn’t work without any of [the volunteers]. Even in my position, I’m just a volunteer. It starts from the top and it goes right down to the people who are putting in 2 to 4 hours,” he says.

Those interested can visit the Midsummer Music Festival website and fill out the volunteer form.

The event runs the July 3rd, 4th, and 5th weekend.
