After an election year and a few readings of the village’s 5-year plan, Telkwa finally has the ball rolling on some infrastructure changes.
A lot of the immediate spending will be going towards the water operating funds, much of the revenue coming from grants and other governments.
Mayor Darcy Repen is happy to see money being spent where he feels it’s needed most.
I feel like that’s where the village really should be focusing on, on our core infrastructure: our water, our sewer, our roads, our emergency services, and our dyke.
Mayor Repen continues to encourage people to look at the budget and give feedback on the 5-year plan.
