A statement from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team in Surrey has made a public statement following a nationwide Warrant for Gordon Alex David.
“Surrey: A man wanted in connection with a Surrey Homicide on May 10, 2015 has now been arrested.
On May 12, 2015, Gordon Alex David was arrested by Vancouver Police patrol officers without incident while walking on Granville Street in Vancouver.
Sgt. Stephanie Ashton, Media Relations Officer for IHIT says, “While IHIT is responsible for homicide investigations within the Lower Mainland, we are also responsible for alerting and keeping the public aware in times where public safety is in question. The quick apprehension of Mr. David speaks to the effectiveness of integration and information sharing with Police Departments in all jurisdictions.
David will face charges of Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault in relation to the alleged homicide of 23-year-old Cady Quaw and the assault of another woman.
