Walnut Park Elementary will be increasing security after a dealing with some late night antics.
There have been 5 separates incidents of break-ins at the school, including 2 in the past week. The most recent incident had a small fire within the school.
Principal Mark Fehr says that the school is taking measures to ensure that everyone is safe.
We’ve been meeting with the maintenance people from the school district and we’re moving forward with some steps to ensure that security is heightened.
There will also be hired security to patrol the area for this long weekend.
Fehr is asking any local residents to report any suspicious behaviour.
