The Smithers and Houston Girls Rugby teams are representing Northern BC at the Provincial level this week.

Both played games earlier today but, unfortunately, both lost in the respective tournaments.

Houston is playing in AA, and fell short to Williams Lake today.

Houston coach Scott Jackson is focusing on the positives as the team looks to tomorrow’s game.

“For a first round game, it was unfortunate that we lost but I think I was impressed with the girls and we learned a lot moving up to AA. We learned a lot more playing that game than we have in the past in tier two,” he says.

HSS will play North Kamloops tomorrow at 1pm.

Smithers fell to Robert Bateman earlier today and will continue their Tier 2 tournament tomorrow at 11:30.

We do not have official scores at this time.
