The made their first appearance at the AA Boys Provincial Rugby Tournament in Abbotsford yesterday.
The newly named “BV Boys” are a combination of the Smithers and Houston Secondary boys teams, who fell 61-0 to the defending champs Rockridge of West Vancouver.
Coach Robert Mark says it was a tough game, but the boys showed a lot of potential, which he thinks will fare well in the next game.
“We’re going against a school that shouldn’t be as strong as the one we played yesterday so hopefully it’ll be better results for us,” he says.
The BV Boys will take on DW Poppy of Langley Wednesday at 9 am.
