Over 100 people lined the Pleasant Valley Plaza red carpet Thursday night to support Emily on her way to seeing Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.
Emily Anderson is a 12-year-old girl who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, and is possibly the world’s biggest Iron Man fan.
The crowd of friends and community members created a walkway from the theatre entrance all the way to the front door, where Emily was greeted by Iron Man himself. He escorted her to their front row seats, where Iron Man and the Anderson family enjoyed the film.
Emily’s mother Pam was once again blown away by the people of Houston and the lengths they’ll go to for their own.
“They’ve fundraised for other kids, they support these kids, they love these kids, and they really are here for these kids,” she says.
Emily sat beside her beloved hero and never once let go of her date’s hand.
