Northern Lights Shelter adopts new moose

There’s was a moose on the loose this week, one who is now a resident at the Northern Lights Animal Shelter.
Luna the moose was found on the highway outside of Prince George on Tuesday. When it became obvious the infant animal was orphaned, she was delivered to the Shelter very early Wednesday morning.
Shelter Owner Angelika Langen says it’s a lot of work to take care of such a large, orphaned animal.
“We have to walk with her because otherwise if we leave her, she lays down right away again and then the digestive system is not working properly, then she will get bloated and sick,” she says.
Luna will be fed also be fed special formula every four hours. She will be at the shelter until the Fall.
