David Suzuki spoke to a packed Della Herman Theatre Monday night to share his environmental concerns for Canada’s West Coast.
The presentation included a half hour movie about climate change in BC, speeches from local community members, different public input stations in the foyer, and a speech by David himself.
Suzuki addressed the issue of rapid glaciers melts.
“The glaciers are going to continue to recede at this really frightening rate. For a lot of areas, the glaciers were really that source of water. It’;s where all the water that you use comes from and that’s going to be catastrophic I think,” he says.
This was the David Suzuki Foundation’s 8th stop on the Coastal Connections Tour.
He will be in Kitimat tomorrow.
