After bylaw concerns, it seems Music on Main will get by with a little help from their friends.

The second annual concert is planned for June 19th, but the town noise bylaw made the ending time a concern.

Although they only heard the delegation on Monday night, Council skipped protocol and vote on-the-spot to waive the bylaw and push the noise restriction back to 1 AM on the night of the event.

Organizer and performer Michael Wilford is happy Council is supportive of the idea and is excited to showcase local talent at the event.

“It’s 100% organized by youth. I think our youngest performer is 13- or 14-year-old to 21-years-old. We all got together and organised it as a group of kids.” he says.

Music on Main will be in Bovill Square on June 19th. Eight bands, aged 13 to 21, will take the stages starting at 5 PM and ending at midnight.
