The Three Musketeers at LDSS

Lakes District Secondary drama students are seeking “hazardous adventures” this week while performing their adaptation of The Three Musketeers.

The grades 9 and 10 students have been preparing for the classic for over 2 months, which has included everything from line memorization, to sword fighting, to kissing on stage.

Director Rayanne Charlie says she’s proud of her students and thinks the community should be as well.

“It’s a challenge, it’s not an easy thing to get up on stage and become someone else. It’s very creative and it’s risky for them, but I think when we give them support and cheer them on it’s all worthwhile,” she says.

LDSS drama is performing the Three Musketeers 2 more times: Wednesday and Thursday at 7 PM at the school.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.
