Houston residents may be experiencing dirty water when they turn on their taps.
This is due to the Water Treatment Plant commissioning. District says they’re hoping to be done by July 1st, but it could take longer.
Houston mayor Shane Brienen says that the water is safe to drink if you choose to do so.
“A lot of people choose not to drink it, I myself wouldn’t,” he says. “It’s fairly dirty. It doesn’t look like it would taste very good, but it is safe.”
