Trial for 2009 Granisle murder underway

A man charged in the stabbing death of his stepfather six years ago in Granisle is now on trial at the Prince George Courthouse.

42 year old Robert Reeves is accused of murdering 61 year old Brian Baker on the evening of April 26th 2009, in a home on Morrison Street in the small village north of Houston.

Today the jury heard from one of the first officers on the scene and were played an audio recording taken by the officer consisting of conversations between the accused and him during the drive back to the Houston RCMP detachment.

Several pieces of evidence were also entered into evidence, including a darkly stained shirt Reeves was wearing at the time of his arrest.

The BC Supreme Court Trial is expected to run for three weeks.
