New Hazelton RCMP responded to 98 calls between June 18th – 24th, some of which included the following.
Police received multiple reports of break-ins to unlocked vehicles on Friday, June 19th.
Many of the break-ins happened near the 4200 block of 13 ave in New Hazelton.
While change and minor items stolen, RCMP are reminding residents to lock your car behind you.
Around 2:30 am on Saturday, June 20th, Police stopped a vehicle near Churchill St in New Hazelton.
The driver seemed impaired and failed a roadside screening test.
The driver was fined, prohibited for 90 days, and their vehicle impounded for 30 days.
Police are reminding everyone not to drink and drive. If you suspect a drunk driver call your local RCMP.
Police responded to a call on Sunday, June 21st, to the Kispiox ball field.
They had received reports of two intoxicated females causing a disturbance.
Upon arrival, one suspect was located and arrested.
Police held her until she sobered up and released her without charge.
