A new opportunity for Telkwa recreation is in the works.
The Bulkley Valley Disc Golf Association has applied to create an 18-hole, championship length disc golf course on Skillhorn road.
The course would be approximately 7500 feet long, with an additional 9-hole course for beginners.
Association President Ben Anderson says Telkwa and the Valley could benefit from this form of activity.
“The cost of playing disc golf is very, very cheap,” he says, “so you just wanna give an affordable recreation[al] opportunity for all ages.”
The course is currently 6th in the queue and awaiting approval. Anderson hopes to begin making the course in September.
