Warm Weather affect crops, animals

With temperatures expected to rise above 30 C this weekend, every man, woman, and barn animal needs to keep hydrated.

The drought the Bulkley Valley is experiencing for the time being, but some farmers are worried about a second cut.

We don’t know when the next rainfall will be, BC Minister of Agriculture Norm Letnick says we there are things we do know.

“It’s very simple” he says, “we don’t have control over the weather so the best thing we can do is conserve the water that we do have and hope that we get rain so that we don’t have to worry about going into level four drought alert.”

Parts of the Province are currently at level 3 drought alerts.
