Northwest Community College students will be seeing some changes in the fall.
The College’s Board of Governor’s approved the new budget, one that included a 1.4 million dollars funding cut.
While they the College and unions worked together to “minimize the impact on people,” College Spokeswoman Sarah Zimmerman says there will still be changes, specifically the Smithers campus.
“We aren’t doing face-to-face university credit offerings in that community,” she says, “but we are looking at ‘What are other ways to invigorate the university credit experience in that community?’ And classes are still available online.”
Zimmerman says there won’t be changes to the trades courses offered in Smithers.
