Police are looking to identify whoever is responsible for offensive vandalism that was located on a billboard sign west of Smithers.
According to RCMP. Last Thursday (Dec 2) police were made aware of the vandalism where a swastika was spray painted on the billboard which is rented by Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen.
Police believe the vandalism is believed to have occurred between November 30, in the afternoon and December 1, in the morning.
Sergeant Chris Manseau said that the spray paint used is a distinctive light blue colour and might be recognizable to someone.
Anyone who may have witnessed or captured dash cam footage of the crime or has information which could help the investigation to contact Smithers RCMP.
