The Town of Smithers says it is working to implement mitigating measures for Town operations to promote community health.
This is due to the rise of COVID-19 transmission and the cold and flu season.
According to a news release, measures that will take place include conducting public meetings virtually and encouraging virtual communications whenever possible.
It added that Town Staff will be working to limit any potential service disruptions that may result from rapid transmission of COVID-19.
Information will be provided from the town if and when it becomes available.
