Northern Health says a COVID-19 drop in clinic will be held this week.
According to the health authority, this includes all doses including booster doses of a vaccine.
The clinic will be held from January 11 until January 14 from 7 a.m. until 3:45 p.m at the Dze L’Kant Friendship Hall and Cultural Centre on Third Avenue.
Anyone five and older are being encouraged to attend.
So far, this week is the only week where it is hosting drop in’s that include the booster doses.
As for vaccination rates in the community Smithers Town Centre has a higher vaccination rate than Smithers rural.
For first doses 87% of the population of the town centre has received a first dose compared to 77% in Smithers rural.
83% of the population have had two doses in the town centre and 21% have had their booster shot.
Meanwhile, for Smithers Rural, 72% have had both doses of a vaccine with 19% having their booster dose.
