The Houston Royal Canadian Legion has received funding from the province through the Community Gaming Grants program.
$28,153 has been provided to the organization for shuttle replacement.
According to the province, the replacement of its shuttle vehicle will allow them to continue to offer free rides for seniors and grocery and prescription delivery.
The province added it continues to prioritize capital projects to support not-for-profit organizations that are facing increased demand for services during the pandemic.
A total of 45 projects have been used to help organizations make upgrades to their facilities and community infrastructure, update technology and buy vehicles and equipment for programs.
