Drugs, guns and over $20,000 in stolen property seized by New Hazelton RCMP

A firearm incident has resulted in the seizure of guns, drugs, and stolen property in New Hazelton.

According to RCMP, police were called to a residence on Churchill Street after an interaction involving a firearm between two people.

Police added one person pointed a firearm at the other.

One person was arrested and a prohibited weapon was located at the home which is believed to be involved in the offense.

RCMP also said during the investigation a search warrant was obtained and police seized numerous firearms, weapons, suspected cocaine, oxycodone and over $20,000 in stolen property.

The investigation has been forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for consideration of charges.
