A local golfer tested the greens at the Canadian Open Qualifiers today.

18-year-old Kaleb Gorbahn of Smithers earned a spot in today’s tournament after finishing in a tie for 3rd at the June Qualifiers.

Teeing off against some incredible talent, Gorbahn finished the day +4, tying him for 44th at Heron Point Golf Course in Alberton, Ontario. He missed the cut off by 9 strokes.

While he won’t be participating in this year’s Canadian Open, Gorbahn will be in other amateur tournaments this summer.

He will be back golfing for Holy Cross College in Indiana this Fall as a sophomore.
