The Bulkley Valley Exhibition is creeping up and the volunteer recruitment process is beginning.
With even more exhibits than last year, BVX is looking to surpass the 200 volunteers needed in 2014.
Office Assitant Ruth Lloyd says they’ll need help all over, including building a dinosaur cave, helping at the mini farm, and judging cakes, among others. She says it’s important that volunteers come and help.
“Most of the people around helping just making things happen, making things run, they’re volunteers. Volunteers make things happen,” she says.
While they won’t be paid, volunteers get to enjoy some perks: 4 hours of work gets you a free day pass; 16 hours gets you in all weekend.
The BVX will be august 27th – 30th.
