More than 200 households in Perow now connected to wireless internet

The community of Perow, west of Houston now has more access to internet and cellular service.

In a news release by the province it says the project, along highway 16 has been completed after being announced in May 2021.

More than 200 households in Perow will be provided with wireless internet and cellular coverage which will enable voice, data and emergency 911 service.

$911,000 was invested by the Province through its Connecting BC Program through the Northern Development Initiative Trust for a total cost of $1 million.

Additionally, Telus Communications contributed more than $101,000.

BC plans to connect every household in the province to high speed internet by 2027.

The province’s investment is a part of the Stronger BC Initiative under the BC Economic Recovery Plan.
