Moricetown Mud Races benefit Cancer Patients

This year’s Moricetown Mud Races entertained a community for a weekend, and will help families for months to come.

The event raised $1360 dollars for cancer research via donations and haircuts.

Many onlookers cheered as organizer Chris Gagnon had his head shaved to contribute to the cause. He says helping out alongside his family and friends was a special feeling.

“One thing you’ve got to realise: you might have a friend or a relative or a family member, everybody in the world here has been touched with cancer at one point in time and that’s what we always think about,” he says.

Gagnon said the money will stay locally to help with treatments and travel expenses.
