The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako says it has extended the nomination period for Area A, Smithers and Telkwa Rural.
This is due to a lack of nominations.
Mark Fisher is currently the Area A Director, who ran unopposed in 2018.
He said that he will not be seeking re-election during this years election.
Nominations will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Monday (September 12).
