The Smithers RCMP have seized drugs and cash in a drug trafficking investigation.
On Saturday (Sept. 17th), as a result of an on-going Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation, police obtained a search warrant for a travel trailer parked on Crown land in Dohler Flats.
According to police, a significant quantity of illicit drugs, Canadian Currency, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking behavior was found.
One man and one woman were arrested while the warrant was executed, both of whom have since been released without charges pending further investigation.
“The outcome of this investigation is credited to the collaborative efforts of officers from the Smithers General Investigation Section BC Highway Patrol, and Smithers General Duty Section,” said Cpl. Ryan Law of the Smithers RCMP.
