Even two weeks after the Main Street fire, Smithereens continue to show their support for the victims.
Boston Pizza held their “Beyond the Blaze” fundraiser Saturday night, selling food tickets, auctioning items, and taking donations, all going towards those affected by the fire.
The raised a grand total of $11,170.
Restaurant spokesperson Melissa Bennett said Boston Pizza was overwhelmed by the communal support.
“We were just going to be happy with whatever we received and this actually blew us away,” she said, “we were not expecting this amount at all.”
The money will be split evenly amongst the 7 victims.
