A Bulkley Valley Athlete has earned even more hardware at the Western Canada Summer Games.
20-year-old Regan Yee of South Hazelton took first place in Monday’s Woman’s 2000m Steeplechase and Saturday’s 1500m Run.
She won both races decisively. With a time of 6:34.90, Yee won the Steeplechase by nearly 39 seconds (second place went to teammate Chelsea Ribeiro – 7:13.51). She timed out at 4:22.43 in the 1500m, three seconds ahead of second placed Rebekah Sass of Manitoba (4:25.36)
Yee finishes her games a perfect 2 for 2, her Provincial teammates will continue competing until August 16th.
