Houston & District Chamber of Commerce has begun accepting nominations for their annual Business Excellence Awards.
These recognize outstanding people and businesses in the community.
This year, there are ten categories, including Retail, Employee, and Young Citizen of the Year.
Chamber Manage Maureen Czirfusz says people should take pride in the community and apply.
“We celebrate our successes and celebrate good businesses and people we have in our community because a lot of times it’s the good people that get overlooked and you always here the negative,” she says, “so we just really need to celebrate the positive and all the good things that are happening.
The deadline for nominations is August 29, 2015. The dinner will be October 24, 2015.
