All charges stemming from the 2020 death of a Smithers man have been dropped

Appearing in Smithers Provincial Court today (Friday), Crown prosecution informed Justice Andrew Mayer that after further assessments they no longer wish to pursue charges against Michael Egenolf in the matter.
The dropped second-degree murder charges were in relation to the 2020 stabbing death of Brodie Cumiskey who was found deceased by Smithers RCMP on February 8, 2020.
