The snow is on the ground, and it’s just about time to slide on it.
Hudson Bay Mountain Resort will be opening for the ski season on Saturday.
“We’re feeling pretty good about it, we’ve got a decent amount of snow, the staff is getting trained, lifts are ready to go,” said Lex Rei-Jones, General Manager of Hudson Bay Mountain.
“It is supposed to be a bit chilly, but we just tell people, wear layers and take frequent warm-up breaks.”
Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high of -17.
“It helps the snow pack down a bit more, when it gets too-too cold the snow gets a little sticky, so that’s not too fun,” Rei-Jones explained.
“We’re really excited to welcome people back for the season, and we can’t wait to see everybody up here.”
Lifts will start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
