The flu is out in full force, and it is a nasty one this year.
Northern Health is adding more times for youth to get their shots in December, as a part of a province-wide influenza blitz.
The Smithers Health unit will be offering drop-in vaccinations for kids six months and older on Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
In Burns Lake, the Lakes District Hospital and Health Centre will be offering shots by appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00 – 4:00 for kids six months and older.
They will also be open Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for kids between six months and four years old.
