A number of District Parent Advisory Councils across the northwest received community gaming grant money from the province, supporting extracurricular events, activities, and equipment for students.
Some of the communities to receive funding include Burns Lake, Houston, Smithers, Kitimat, and New Hazelton.
According to the province, over 11 million dollars is being distributed across BC to these groups for the 2022-23 school year.
