Provincial health officials are reporting some successes during last weekend’s vaccine blitz.
They say more than 42-thousand people got their flu shots during the extended hours that walk-in clinics were open.
Approximately 1.6 million individuals, or 30% of the general population aged six months and older, having now received the influenza vaccine in B.C.
Hospitals have reported sharp increases in the number of kids suffering from influenza.
