Eight projects in Northern BC are receiving $2.1 million through the Northern Healthy Communities Fund.
The fund is supported by the Provincial Government and is administered by Northern Development Initiative Trust.
“Our government is committed to ensuring that people in Northern BC have the services we all need, while the communities are experiencing this rapid growth,” said Stikine MLA Nathan Cullen.
“This round of funding is supporting local projects that help address child care, employment readiness, supportive housing, and other vital social services.”

Since its beginning, the Northern Healthy Communities Fund has supported 54 projects worth $7.1 million.
