This weekend’s Celebrity Tournament created a lot of memories for participants, and will help future families.
A total funding number will be released this week, but Co-chairman Kent Delwisch confirmed 102,700 was raised from the live auction alone. This money will be donated to helping the Bulkley Valley District Hospital’s maternity ward.
Delwisch says things ran incredibly smoothly this year thanks, volunteers and the townspeople.
“The celebrities kept saying to us how friendly it is here; beautiful area but people were so friendly they couldn’t believe it,” he said “That’s really what it’s all about.”
Some auction items included sports trips to Philadelphia and Vancouver, and a 2014 Olympic Gold Medal signed hockey jersey.
