Candidates shed light on employment

Skeena-Bulkley Valley candidates shared their plans to increase the employment rate in Northwestern BC.

The current EI Economic Unemployment Rate is 10.5%.

NDP representative Nathan Cullen hopes to lower the small business tax rates and improve energy strategies so residents know what happens to our natural resources.

Liberal candidate Brad Layton says growing the middle class will help to grow economies, and plans to foster as many gas pipelines jobs as possible.

PC representative Tyler Nesbitt says securing jobs and growing the economy is his and the party’s top priority. He says that the Conservatives plan to put $3.5 million yearly to help with reforming a temporary worker program.

There is still not Green Party candidate in the riding.
