The Northern Lights Wildlife Society have been receiving truck-funding donations from all over the world. Some have come from international charities while others from unlikely sources.
Kira MacDougall just turned 10.
Instead of asking for gifts like most kids her age, she asked for money to donate towards the Society’s new truck.
Kira is optimistic that the society will hit their goal.
“I just want to say that I hope they raise a lot of money and I hope it’s enough to get the truck that they’re wanting,” she says.
With her birthday gifts, Kira donated $250.
The society is just shy of their $40,000 goal. Funding for the new truck ends tonight at midnight.
