BC’s unemployment rises slightly to 5% in April

Canada added 41,400 jobs last month according to Stats Canada’s Labour Division Survey, as the unemployment rate in the country remained at 5 % for the 5th straight month.

B.C. is also at 5%, the 4th lowest among all provinces, but up from 4.5 in March.
